This is the greatest gaming character of all time. When people think of classic gaming they will often rattle off games such as: Pong, Tetris, and Mario. Well I hate to break it to the generations but Yoshi beats all of these games out. The truth of the matter is that Mario wouldn't have survived without Yoshi. Look at a new millennium game: Paper Mario. After you get 'X' amount of crystal stars and you go to a level where you get an egg. Well guess what hatches out of that egg. If you guessed Yoshi you would be not smart but observant. This Yoshi is completely ESSENTIAL. If you don't take this Yoshi with you, you will never beat the game. He gives you a special move that you have to use. The whole point is that Mario is not as great as everyone makes him out to be. He would not even be the 'hero' that everyone knows if he didn't have his prehistoric counterpart.
